A friend of mine, Jerry, pointed this mistake out (star & crescent reversed positions) to one of the TV3 crew but the crewman obviously wasn't made to draw and colour the flag during his early years. He was obviously one of the kaki ponteng and missed out on a highly important primary school classroom activity. I decided to do my laundry in the morning and meet them later for lunch considering how unpredictable the weather here is, thus, missing out on the free distribution of 'rendang' during the opening. ;p Posted by Hello

The newly reopened Malaysia Hall at Baywater, London was a hive of activity early Saturday morning. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi on hand to open the new building before leaving for home in the evening. An official visit complete with 'Bunga Manggar' (artificial Palm blossoms) and of course, resident Malaysians. Unfortunately someone forgot to tell the person responsible for decorating the balconies with Malaysian flags. Look closely and spot the odd flag out. Pix courtesy of Jason Tan.  Posted by Hello

F1 brings Oxford Circus to a standstill. This was worse than a Tube strike with half a million people spilling over the roads and various Tube stations closed.  Posted by Hello

Unfancied Greece crowned as new Kings of Europe as they defeat hosts Portugal 1-0 in the Euro 2004 Finals thanks to Angelos Charisteas's 57th minute goal. It was a truly fairytale run for the Greeks who had dumped France, Czech Republic out of the tournament along the way. It should have been fairly obvious to me they were going to win it after snapping this photograph on Bury St a few days earlier. This was truly an exhilarating weekend of sports with the football final, Wimbledon tennis & not to mention the F1 French Grand Prix all thrown together.

A month since my last posting. An interesting month has passed by. Managed to break my camera's LCD display before leaving for Wales and the damn laptop is not working properly still. Not sure it has completely put me off buying 2nd hand electrical goods but I guess it's all down to luck. I haven't done any blogging for a while due to work constraints, Euro 2004 fever, enrolment to NCTJ photojournalism course, student visa application & etc. Not having a camera and a computer to work with was not very motivating at all. Breaking my camera was a really expensive lesson; £139 to fix. I have so many things to write about that I have put off - like my weekend in Wales with the boys involving quad-biking and more beers in Wales. An afternoon in French opera followed by England vs France was another weekend activity. The Red Hot Chilli Peppers concert at Hyde Park was good though not fantastic and the sad part was I didn't have my camera with me. Luckily I had my cousin's camera to snap some photographs but it just doesn't feel the same not having your own. Oh yeah, mum - hope you like the birthday card I sent. :)
