Unfancied Greece crowned as new Kings of Europe as they defeat hosts Portugal 1-0 in the Euro 2004 Finals thanks to Angelos Charisteas's 57th minute goal. It was a truly fairytale run for the Greeks who had dumped France, Czech Republic out of the tournament along the way. It should have been fairly obvious to me they were going to win it after snapping this photograph on Bury St a few days earlier. This was truly an exhilarating weekend of sports with the football final, Wimbledon tennis & not to mention the F1 French Grand Prix all thrown together.
