I didn't know him but I felt I had lost a brother. There has been many unexplained deaths of innocent people whilst in the custody of the Malaysian authorities. The latest was Tan Beng Hock.
Tan Beng Hock, a political secretary for the opposition party, was invited by the Selangor MACC (Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission) to assist in their investigation into constituency allocations. He went to the MACC Headquarters at around 5.40pm on 15th July 2009 but never came back. His body was found on the 5th floor of Wisma Masalam at 1pm on 16th July, less than 20 hours later. The MACC office is located on the 14th floor of the same building.

My deepest condolences to the family of Teo Beng Hock, 30, who was found dead on the roof of the building next to the MACC building in Shah Alam where he had been taken for interrogation by Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission. He was due to be married the next day. What is going on in my country? More unexplained deaths in police custody. How many more?
